Tasting The Glenrothes

Trying a single speyside malt scotch whiskey. Yumm, thus far! We started with their 1991 but we'll have to save the others for another night. Before this, I have a Highland Park 15 which is a hard act to follow. I'll have to give the Glenrothes another try since I think my palette is a bit exhausted and I'm a bit tipsy! I like scotch, yum yum yum. Scotch in my belly, yum yum yum.

Dusted: The Macallan Fine Oak 10

Finishing a bottle of The Macallan Fine Oak 10 this evening. I'm a fan of scotch, mostly single malts. I'm never dissapointed with Macallan, though they are more expensive than most. The fine oak has great flavor contributed from bourbon and sherry oak casks. I prefer having my scotch neat and though a tad young, the Fine Oak is very light with a great blend of oak and malt. A sip of water brings out the sweetness and complexity of the oak. A dusted bottle means that a replacement is in the future!
